This and That and Here and There

Devin’s home, Darren and Richelle have gone back to Idaho, and the real Devin is back.  That probably didn’t make sense — ”Let me clarify this.”  Devin is home from Pullman where he spent last week with Dallin.  The grass was definitely greener on the other side, and he ended up changing his ticket and staying another 3 days with Dallin and then coming home this Monday instead of last Friday.  He scored major brownie points with me when neither he nor his brother took ONE stinkin’  lousy picture ALL WEEK LONG.

Darren and Richelle finally made it back to Rexburg.  They took the last half of their belongings which had been left behind, including Stuart, Darren’s Kayak, our old vacuum, bread maker, and keyboard, and fit them all in Darren’s little tiny car.

It really was everything but the kitchen sink.

Richelle is a master at puzzles and it took some of that to make this all work.

So I was a little concerned that if he got going too fast down the freeway that his car would take off.  He was more concerned about finding water and seeing if he could flip his car upside down on it and take on a river or two.

So the part about Devin being back.  For those of you who know what Devin has been going through and about that dark hole he was in after his experience with the swine flu last October.   The REAL Devin is back!  The medication finally did what it was designed to do, and Devin is doing great.  He is antsy to get over to the store to get a new lap top so that he can start working on a Computer Science class that he will be retaking in September.  He is looking for a part-time job to earn enough money to cover this new improved computer until his full-time job starts in the middle of May.  He doesn’t sit in one place anymore and read for 18 hours a day.  He’s up hours earlier than he was and TALKING.  He teases the girls just as much as he used to.  He comes in to my room in the morning and we have been having the greatest discussions on some gospel questions I have had.  He and Nathan run around to different places a lot.  I can’t even describe how great it is to have him BACK!!!  His doctor wants him to cut his medication in half in a couple of months, and then after he passes his year anniversary, he will be going off completely.  WAHOO!!!
