This is my Dad. He and his tongue are hard at work creating a labor-saving device designed to spare me – ummm, labor.
This is our waterfall. Previous to my father’s creation, the waterfall was plugged in to an extension cord that crossed the lawn and patio and took effort and much strength to connect or disconnect, something my semi-arthritic joints could not accomplish on their own. The cord was also fair game for the lawnmower and took several hits by unknown attackers.
This is the detail of the the labor-saving device as it existed in the engineer’s brain.
This is the newly finished labor-saving device, ready to be installed and put to work.
This is at the trial run of the labor-saving device using two kitchen lamps: one representing the waterfall and one representing the lights on the waterfall, demonstrating successfully the turn on and turn off abilities of the photo-electric cell watched over by the proud wife of the creative engineer.
This was part of the 3 1/2 hours it took to get the wires from the inside of the house, down inside the framing, past the floor joists and out the back of the house.
Eventually, it took drilling two holes through the back of the house to successfully maneuver the wires from the inside to the outside.
This is the very nice nephew, Jarin, who helped a whole big bunch, in making the seemingly impossible possible.
This very nice nephew also helped dig the trench and lay the wires.
This is another very nice nephew, Jordan, who helped the engineer lay the sod back that had been dug out of the trench where the wires were to have their final resting place.

This is the switch IN THE FAMILY ROOM on the inside of the house that allows the photoelectric cell to operate at its pleasure on the outside of the house.
One very happy waterfall.
Oh. my. goodness! Grandpa is amazing!! That is so cool.
